This course, An Introduction to Personal Agility, is written by best-selling author Liggy Webb and is based on her book, ‘Agility – How to adapt and thrive in a sea of change’. Considered a leading authority in resilience and behavioural agility, Liggy shows us how to reduce unhealthy stress and lighten our loads by adopting a growth mindset and embracing change.

If you are an outreach worker, community carer or someone who works night shifts in hospitals, which may include nurses, doctors, porters, cleaners or security staff, you can often find yourself working alone. This can make you more vulnerable in instances such as aggression from the public, manual handling scenarios or even basic provision of hygiene and welfare facilities.
This Lone Workers (Healthcare) course, familiarises learners with legislation and information that has been formulated to protect people who work on their own in a healthcare setting. The course explores health and safety principles including what your employer should be doing to keep you safe at work, as well as handling of hazardous substances and when you should record or report incidents. It also provides practical pointers on managing aggression or violence from members of the public and looks at how to recognise and manage stress, which can result from working alone with little or no supervision.

This Mental Capacity Act course, addresses the intricacies of assessing mental capacity and the legalities surrounding this area of healthcare. The course explores: the five main principles of mental capacity; the importance of consent; Duty of Care; and the legal mediums by which a person’s power to decide for themselves may be diminished, should it be decided they are incapable of their own personal care.

The effects of an undiagnosed, deteriorating mental health condition can be devastating. Loss of self-esteem, trouble maintaining relationships and unhealthy thought patterns can lead to maladaptive coping mechanisms and physical threat to life. Mental health disorders present an increasing problem in our society today and are non-discriminatory in who they choose to affect.
This online course in Mental Health Awareness has been developed to highlight the issues related to mental health disorders and ensure that learners are equipped with practical knowledge on how to recognise, manage and support those suffering from poor mental health – which could include themselves.

Designated medical first aiders are required by law in every workplace, but it is still surprising how little mental health is considered in our working environments today, despite the increasing number of mental health conditions being diagnosed. This Mental Health Bundle of online courses promotes greater awareness of mental health illnesses covering topics from workplace anxiety through to dementia awareness and radicalisation.

This Resilience course, helps employers and employees to understand, build and maintain personal resilience within the working environment. The better mentally equipped and resilient a person, the less risk there is of them succumbing to mental health problems such as anxiety and depression.

There are many ways in which employees can reduce or avoid stress, and if they are experiencing stress already, there are approaches they can follow to manage their stress most effectively.
